After two years of technological breakthroughs, the non road electronic controlled high-pressure common rail diesel engine developed by Quanchai Power and German FEV Group has passed the EPA4 stage emission certification in the United States. This diesel engine, specially designed for the North American market, adopts an integrated exhaust gas recirculation+DOC+POC after treatment system. It has been tested to reduce NOx emissions by 45% compared to similar domestic products, reduce particulate matter (PM) emissions by 92%, and improve fuel economy by 10%.
We conducted 13 rounds of iterative optimization on the combustion chamber structure and fuel injection strategy with the FEV team, and tested 28 design schemes for the fuel injector alone. Dr. Li from Quanchai Research Institute revealed that key components such as turbocharger impellers and ceramic carriers have been localized and customized, breaking the technological monopoly of foreign brands. Currently, this model has received purchasing intentions from giants such as John Deere and Caterpillar, and is expected to export over 5000 units within the year.
Policy significance: This project makes China the third country after Europe and America to master the core technology of non road four stage diesel engines, directly promoting the integration of the "National Standard for Non Road Mobile Machinery Emissions" with American standards.
